Montreal interior designer Suzan Carsley received her BFA from Pratt Institute in 1973.
In the early 1990’s, drawn to the vibrancy of work by watercolourist Ming Ma,
she was impassioned to study with him from 1993 - 1997.
For 20 years Suzan would make trips to Mexico with its magical light and you can se
e the influences in Suzan’s palette to this day.
Suzan retired and moved to New Brunswick to pursue her art after 39 years as a practicing interior designer,
Always exploring new techniques: watercolour and printmaking to experimenting in acrylics,
Suzan’s work is a joyful expression of her passion.
“I revel in bold colour saturation and strong forms in landscape and architecture.
Above all, I try to stay true to myself.
I challenge myself with every painting.”
